HLTAID012 - Provide First Aid in an Educational & Care Setting

 

Course Overview

This is a Child-Specific First Aid Course that provides essential skills for responding to first aid emergencies involving infants and children, following Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

 

Who is this course for?

  • Workers in education or care settings (e.g., early childhood, outside school hours care).

  • New parents and school leavers entering childcare.

  • Teachers or childcare providers renewing qualifications.

 

Course Relevance and Requirements:

  • Perfect for education/care workplace or community emergency situations involving children.

  • ARC recommends CPR refreshers annually and first aid recertification every 3 years.

  • Check local Work Health and Safety regulations for compliance.

 

Skill Development Focus:

  • Reading and writing texts in various contexts.

  • Oral communication in diverse scenarios.

  • Proficiency with digital tools and software.

DELIVERY OPTIONS:

Blended Training: Price $122 where you complete the theory online, then attend the practical assessment at one of our scheduled group sessions. Sessions.

Additional Notes:

  • The practical assessment for all accredited courses will require each participant to perform 2 minutes of CPR on an adult mannikin on the floor.

  • Each participant also needs a USI (Unique Student Identifier) for the certificates to be issued by the RTO.
